Help! [Dec. 2nd, 2005|01:21 pm]
So we're having special dinner tonight, and the theme is things that start with P. I've already been Poison Ivy and a pirate... Anyone got any good ideas? Right now I'm leaning towards being a psychic, but if anyone has a better idea I'd love to hear it.

Let me know soon!

So yeah, for Kelly and anyone else I haven't talked to recently, I am going to Europe in about a month (yay!), and I'll be there at least til the end of the year, hopefully in the summer too. I'll be in Florence from January 3rd to about March 25th or so, and Paris after that. So if anyone's going to be in Europe around those times, let me know and maybe we can find a way to hang out. =)

Hmmm, I haven't updated in... a really long time. The format changed. I don't actually want to write anything right now, but people who are around over break, give me a call!

Çıkmak istemiyorum - burada her zaman için kalabilirim... İstanbul çok çok güzel bir şehir ve dunyada, gördüğüm manzardan, Boğaziçi manzarı en çok güzel. İstanbul çok özleceğim.

Soooo good to see so many friends today. Gave me hope this first month of summer can be fun and summery and not just me trying to earn enough money to pay off Europe.

You're Lolita!

by Vladimir Nabokov

Considered by most to be depraved and immoral, you are obsessed with
sex. What really tantalizes you is that which deviates from societal standards in every
way, though you admit that this probably isn't the best and you're not sure what causes
this desire. Nonetheless, you've done some pretty nefarious things in your life, and
probably gotten caught for them. The names have been changed, but the problems are real.
Please stay away from children.

Mirrors

She tries to see behind her mirrored self.
The liquid glass reflects in vain.
Her own yearning is all-
consuming. Her unshelled heart
would bleed itself silent for his every second.
Surely the perfect moon
will never be captured like her. In his retina
her image drowns: a doubled unison.
Her image drowns. A doubled unison
will never be. Captured like her in his retina,
surely the perfect moon
would bleed itself. Silent for his every second
consuming her unshelled heart,
her own yearning is all
the liquid glass reflects. In vain
she tries to see behind her mirrored self.

Does anyone have any ski clothes I could borrow? My dorm's going on a ski trip the first weekend after break and since I've never been skiing, I have absolutely nothing. I'm not even sure exactly what I'm supposed to have. Anyways, if anyone has stuff I could use, please please let me know!

[mood |post-shopping tired & content]
[music |that No Doubt song]

Today I discovered a store at the Stanford Shopping Center that's full of these big pillow/chair things. You go in and just lie on one and they give you blankets and stuffed animals and you can just relax. I want to get one as a replacement for my bed.

Also, I've noticed whenever I change locations, I buy myself lots of clothes. I thought it was just when I go on vacation, but every time I've come back home from college I've ended up with all sorts of new clothes. Thank goodness I'm working.

Over Winter Break I intend to:
- write some more poetry
- get really good at playing Clair de la Lune
- learn more Turkish
- unpack
- read Zadie Smith novels at Borders
- think about what to major in
